Installation
The EasyHeat® Warm Tiles® ESW Wi-Fi ColorTouch Thermostat combines programmable floor warming control with the convenience of wireless connectivity. Featuring a color touchscreen display and Wi-Fi capabilities, the ESW allows you to adjust temperatures, create heating schedules, and manage your floor warming system remotely through supported online controls.
Planning Your Installation
Choose a convenient wall location that provides easy access to the thermostat and is suitable for the required electrical connections. The thermostat should be installed in an approved electrical box, following the manufacturer's mounting and wiring instructions.
Before installation, confirm that the thermostat's voltage and electrical capacity are compatible with your floor warming system. The ESW supports 120V and 240V applications, with a maximum switching capacity of 15 amps.
For reliable remote operation, select a location with adequate Wi-Fi coverage from your home's wireless network.
Installing the Floor Sensor
The included floor temperature sensor monitors the temperature of the heated floor and helps the thermostat maintain the selected comfort level.
Position the sensor within the heated floor area, between adjacent heating cable runs, without allowing it to touch or cross the heating cable. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for sensor placement, routing, and protection during installation.
Proper sensor positioning is important for accurate temperature readings and consistent system performance.
Electrical Connections & Safety
The ESW thermostat includes built-in GFCI protection for the floor warming circuit. Electrical connections should be completed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable electrical codes and the manufacturer's wiring instructions.
For installations exceeding the thermostat's switching capacity, an appropriately rated relay and separately protected circuit may be required. Never exceed the thermostat's specified electrical ratings.
Wi-Fi Setup & Programming
Once installation is complete and the system is ready for operation, use the color touchscreen to configure your preferred temperatures and heating schedule.
Connect the thermostat to a compatible Wi-Fi network following the manufacturer's setup instructions. Once connected and registered through the supported platform, the ESW allows remote access to available temperature controls and scheduling features.
The thermostat can also be operated directly from its touchscreen without relying on remote access.
Follow the flooring and heating system manufacturers' instructions regarding required curing periods before energizing the floor warming system.

The EasyHeat® Warm Tiles® ESW Wi-Fi ColorTouch Thermostat is backed by a 3-year limited manufacturer's warranty, with an additional 3 months of coverage for residential use by the original purchaser, for a total of 3 years and 3 months.
Coverage is subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions of EasyHeat®'s written limited warranty.
